5 Skin Care Trends in 2016
Posted on January 08 2016
2016 will be an exciting year! To kick it off we have put together 5 skin care trends that we believe will be the talking point this year.
1. Personalised Skin Care
Bespoke skin care has been on the agenda for a while now. However we believe that 2016 will be the year when tailor-made skin care takes off. The main benefit of personalized skin care is that you get a product that suits your needs, rather than a “one-size-fits-all” formulation. Also it is you, and not a large corporation, that are in control of what goes in your product.
2. Anti-pollution products
In 2016 there will be more focus on pollution and how it affects your skin. Pollution consists of small particles and free radicles that penetrate your skin and accelerate the ageing process. The best way to combat this is to look for products with antioxidants. Our active blend “My Day” is a specifically designed for people living in polluted areas and contains a wide range of natural antioxidants such as vitamin E, vitamin C and q10.

3. Freshly made skin care
We predict that the demand for freshly made products will increase during 2016. Most skin care companies produce millions of units at a time and then store the products in large warehouses. A product could be held up to a year (sometimes more) before it reaches the shop. The potency of a product deteriorates with time so what might have been a fantastic product just after production could be a toothless blend once it reaches the consumer. In short, to maximize the benefits you want freshly made products. We produce small batches and send your personalized product straight to you, to ensure your receive powerful and effective products
4. Essential fatty acids
There will be more focus on the importance of essential fatty acids (ETAs). Your skin needs a vide variety of ETAs to stay healthy. Natural oils derived from seeds and nuts contain a broad spectrum of ETAs, which is why we only use natural oils in our products. If you want to learn more check out our science section.
5. Niacinamide (vitamin B3)
Niacinamide (vitamin B3) will be hot topic this year. It is a power ingredient that has gained more and more interest in the past year. Niacinamide helps to calm down acne prone skin as well as serves as a cell-communicating ingredient that combats ageing by stimulating keratin production. It also supports your skin to retain moisture. We are currently developing formulations containing this amazing ingredient. So stay tuned…
